K9 Aggression pt 1

“There was no sign”

Actually, there was. Recognizing that sign and correcting the issue before the behavior escalates will help combat the situation.

A dogs body language is used to communicate their emotions and intentions. It’s our responsibility as pet owners to understand our dogs signals and advocate for them.

Dogs have emotions and feelings just like us and a whole sequence of cues to communicate with each other and their human.

Do not wait until the situation escalates out of control. At that time your dog will be too worked up and triggered to care about what you say.

Recognizing signals such as facial expressions, posture, barks, movement etc. and responding in time will keep them (and you)happy and safe.
